Pilates Mat Module 1
Teacher Training

The Mat 1 program consists of Pilates anatomy and biomechanics, Pilates Fundamentals, Postural Considerations and Student practice and Teaching. On completion, students will be able to:
Teach a Basic Pilates class in a private or group environment
Identify the names and sequencing of Basic Pilates exercises
Apply bio-mechanical principles to Pilates exercises
Learn, experience and teach modifications to the exercises
Discuss the benefits of verbal, visual and tactile cuing
Discuss breathing techniques and how breath patterns can hinder or help movement

Pilates Mat module 2
Teacher Training

In Mat 2, you will review and hone material presented in Mat 1, be introduced to the Intermediate and Advanced Exercises and begin to build your skills. On completion of the Mat 2 Teacher Training course, students will be able to:
Teach an Intermediate and Advanced Pilates class in a private or group environment
Identify the names and sequencing of Intermediate and Advanced Pilates exercises
Make corrections and modifications for proper execution and safety for all clients.
Pilates Mat module 3
Teacher Training
$400
In Mat 3 you will master the concepts and information presented in Mat 1 and 2. This class will introduce the use of Pilates props as well as therapeutic arrangements for proper muscle recruitment and safety, pre and postnatal and those with osteoporosis. On completion of the Mat 3 Teacher Training course, students will be able to:
Teach Pilates Mat Fundamentals, through the advanced repertoire in a private or group environment
Organize a class with a special focus
Work with various props such as balls, bands, rings, rollers and more
Work with various types of bodies and physical conditions
Pilates Mat Certification Requirements:
120 Total hours are required for Pilates Mat Teacher Training
•40 hours of self-practice, 30 hours of teaching and 10 hours of observation
•Passing written exams and practical teaching and demonstration of the Classical Mat exercises (can be done virtually)
